Environmental Policy

Environmental Compliance - Compliant with the Environmental Management Bureau's (EMB) Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

Air - Pollution Control Officers (PCO) have been identified and designated to attend seminars and EMPs.

Natural Resources - Ongoing replanting and maintenance of trees. 300 trees have been replanted so far.

Land - Continuous maintenance of access roads and silting ponds.

Water - Water conservation initiatives are in place. The use of water is minimized whenever possible. Signs have been posted to remind employees of such.

Energy - The efficient use of fuel and electricity is practiced whenever possible. Signs have been posted to remind employees of such.

Noise - Operations are scheduled at times least bothersome to the residents of the neighboring areas.

Waste - Properly marked garbage bins are being used in the plant to comply with the Ecological Solid Waste Management (ESWM) program. Recycling of materials is encouraged.

Human Safety - Warning Signs, Safety Signage, Billboards and Notices are posted in the critical areas to minimize accidents. Medicine kits are on hand in case of an emergency. Employee briefings and trainings in relation to Safety are facilitated.

Social Development - A Road Widening and a Street Lights Project have been implemented.
